*I want to be fully transparent, when you use this coupon code, I do receive a small fee from hostgator for referring new artists. Is that why I refer them? No, I love hostgator and would still recommend them even if I didn’t get anything for sending people their way. I consider this a small sponsor benefit for helping new artist get on their feet towards success and to help me fund the time to make more great content for you. Of course if you do not want to use this coupon code you are free not to :).

Why sign up for Hostgator and use WordPress?
Wordpress powers over 60 million sites on the web, its powerful and easy to learn & use. If you hired a professional web designer they would charge you a few hundred dollars or thousands to do these same steps for you.

What’s the difference between hosting myself vs. WordPress.com?
If you already have a site at WordPress.com or checking it out this will limit you in many ways to what you can add to your site in the future once you grow and expand. It also cost of $99 a year just to use your own domain name. Hosting yourself is a great option because you have more flexibility, its cheaper but it also comes with a little bit more maintenance.
